Well...the idea for this kids' crafts project idea actually came from my evil nephew who destroyed my Toy Center and stole half of my collection.
For those who don't know my Toy Center, this is a photo of what it is supposed to look like...
This is what happened after he broke in....(I have no idea how he opened the door. It was locked and my key was with me the whole time when he stayed at my home).
Kids always find their way if they want something really bad...

But he still inspired me...I made these monster trays for him. They are cute, cruel, just like him...
Also, the trays were from my fast food pretend play set, which he also stole from. As a result, I got an incomplete set - with only the trays available and I cannot tolerate this.

Here is what you gonna need for this cool kids crafts project:
- Air dry modeling clay sets: you will need approximately 5 - 9 colors depending on the size of your container
- A tray: or a picture frame should also work - actually I think they will look even better. Anyways, the purpose of this kids' crafts project is to recycle or reuse the old unwanted toys, you can always switch ideas), Remember to sanitize and clean before use.
- Acrylic paints: black, white, and so on. You won't need that many colors.
- Googly eyes: optional.
- White foam beads: also optional.
Now, time to make the colorful balls. Remember to let your kids select the color they like.
The balls don't have to be perfectly round, but try to make them as smooth as possible.
I made 8 balls in total.
Then squish them using an acrylic sheet.
Tip: if you have used a plastic tray like I did, you can always apply some glue or nail polish to the surface of the tray to prevent the balls from falling.
I used a clear rod to further squish and flatten the balls.
Use your fingertips to continue to flatten the balls.
Once they are flat, you can make the eye parts - the most important part to bring them to life!
After you have finished making the eye balls, it's time to make the pupils.
Decorate their body. Remember the only limitation is gonna be your imagination! Let's try as creative as possible - I bet you could do way better than I did.
My dear nephew, Happy Birthday!
I still love you...while it lasts.
